Wrapping Station

Now here is one for the crafty members of the family! A storage unit that houses all things to do with crafts and gift wrapping… Peter and Annalien shows you how you can create your very own wrapping station.

You will need:

PCM 7 Compound Mitre saw Pine PAR 20mm
PST 18 Jigsaw  Sides 150 mm x 800 mm – 2 pieces (grain in long direction)
PSR 18 Cordless shelves 150mm x 660mm – 3 pieces (grain in long direction)
PEX 220 sander Bottom shelf (drawer) shelves 150mm x 230mm – 2 pieces (grain in long direction)
PFS 2000 Spray gun vertical slats 150 mm x 150mm – 2 pieces
POF 1400 vertical (drawer) slats 150mm x 110 mm – 2 pieces (grain in short direction)
PWS angle grinder Drawer front 210mm x 130 mm – 2 pieces (grain in long direction)
PTK 14 E tacker plus 6mm staples  Drawer sides 130mm x 125mm – 4 pieces (grain in long direction)
  Drawer back 125mm x 190 mm – 2 pieces (grain in long direction)
  Masonite 3mm white backing
  drawer bottom 230 x 130
  back board 700mm x 630 mm – 1 piece
  small door knobs – metal type (not brass) – 2 pieces
  broom sticks/dowel – 800 mm – 2 pieces
  Dowel stick +/- 10mm – 600mm – 1 piece
  wood glue
  4 x 40 mm screws
   
  wood filler
  Varnish 1ltr 

Follow these steps

Wrapping station

  1. Mark off and drill pilot holes on sides where the shelves fit
  2. Mark off and drill pilot holes on shelves where the vertical slats fit
  3. Cut shape in sides where dowel/broom sticks go
  4. Drill holes for copper rod/dowels
  5. Assemble top shelf and bottom shelf
  6. Fit dowel stick and vertical slats.

Drawers

  1. Join sides, back and base.
  2. Sand and varnish
  3. Insert wrapping paper and ribbons
