Wine and Cheese Caddy

In this week’s episode of Get It Done, Peter and Annalien shows you how to build your own wine and cheese caddy – perfect for entertaining on the patio!

Material:

PCM compound mitre saw Meranti 20mm PAR 
PSR 18 Cordless drill Base – 350mm x 450mm – 1 piece Grain in long direction
PEX 300 Eccentric sander Top 120 mm x 450 mm – 1 piece
POF router slats 20 x 20mm  x  300mm – 20 pieces (NB must be square)
PST 18 Jigsaw rubber “feet” small 4 pieces
PSR 10.8 cordless drill driver  Meranti wood filler
  Wood screws 4 x 30mm
  Wood screws 4 x 40mm
  Wood screws 4 x 20mm
  wood glue
  olive oil (for sealing wood)
wine 2 bottles
2 wine glasses

 

Steps:

Build the frame for the wine bottles

  1. Cut cleats to size.
  2. Attach cross slats to upright frame
  3. Fit bottle holder slats
  4. Attach to base

 

Build frame for serviettes and tooth pick holder

  1. Cut cleats to size
  2. Assemble cross and upright slats
  3. Attach to base

 

Make glass hanger

  1. Measure and cut grooves for glasses
  2. Router top
  3. Attach to frames

 

Sand and oil

Attach feet
