  • 4 or 5 copies of the image printed (reverse to get a mirror image)
  • A variety of washi tape rolls
  • Scissors

Instructions

  1. Keep the original copy of the image aside as you will stick the artwork onto it.
  2. Select on the mirrored images which parts will be in which colour.
  3. Adhere the washi tape to the back of the selected areas and cut them out.
  4. Turn them over and paste them onto the original artwork.
  5. Repeat until the entire picture is done.

Decorative Chalk Board

Requirements

  • Chalkboard Paint from Cotton Candi (www.cottoncandi.co.za)
  • Sponge or mohair roller and container to pour the paint into
  • Laser cut ‘blank’ from 3mm chipboard

Instructions

  1. Pour a small amount of paint into a container.
  2. Paint a thin layer of paint directly onto the raw wood board using your roller.
  3. Leave it to dry for a few minutes, paint a second coat and leave it to dry. If you need another layer for better coverage a 3rd layer may be applied.
  4. Allow it to dry completely. Your board is now ready to be used, use conventional chalk pieces or chalk pens to write notes or to do lists around the house.
