Ultimate Chocolate Sandwich
Ingredients
- 1 Chocolate & orange panetone or similar
- 200g, good quality dark chocolate, broken up
- 1/2 cup Cream
- 50ml Cointreau,
- 1 sandwich toaster
- 100g good vanilla ice cream
- cocoa powder / icing sugar
Method
- Slice the panetone into thick slices.
- Bring the cream to the boil, add the chocolate and whisk in off the heat. Add the Cointreau.
- Cool and spread thickly onto one slice of the bread,
- sandwich together with the other slice and place into the sandwich toaster.
- Toast for 3 minutes.
- Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and dust with cocoa or icing sugar.
