Spicy Strawberry Sorbet

Yield:  approximately 2 litres

Ingredients

  • 6 cups fresh ripe strawberries, hulled
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon of your favourite hot sauce

Method

  1. Puree berries with sugar with a blender, food processor or immersion blender. 
  2. Add the lemon juice, salt and hot sauce and puree until very smooth.
  3. Freeze in an ice cream maker according to the manufacturer’s directions.
