Overview
Signature Living is a lifestyle series with a twist. Reuben Riffel will not only be presenting but will also be cooking some amazing dishes: Pistachio olive oil cake with Red wine and black pepper gelato,scallop ceviche with fennel, citrus and tarragon and braised lamb shoulder with peas and soft polenta to name but a few.
In each episode Reuben will prepare a starter or dessert and a main dish, the main dish will the be paired with some of the best wines South Africa’s got to offer. Winemakers from Anthonij Rupert to Ernie Els Wines will be telling us more about what these wine farms got to offer.

Episode 1
Reuben will be making a pistachio olive oil cake with Red wine and black pepper gelato and for the main dish; miso marinated lamb ribs with eggplant and tahini sauce. Reuben will then pair this dish with Ernie Els wines. New Kitchen Design will be the focus in Design Trends and then there is the competition with almost R200 000 worth of prizes.

Episode 2
This week Reuben will make a tomato baked prawn starter with a Thai beef curry and steamed jasmine rice for mains, then Rose Jordaan form Bartinney Wines will help Reuben to pair this dish with the perfect wine. Clever concealed lighting will be the focus in Design Trends.

Episode 3
Reuben cooks a Jerusalem artichoke soup, starter and for the main dish a Braised lamb shoulder with peas and soft polenta. Maruis Roux form Somerbosch Wines will then help Reuben to pair this dish with the perfect wine and Design Trends will focus on beautiful outdoor living spaces.

Episode 4
Reuben will make a Scallop ceviche with fennel, citrus and tarragon, starter and for the main dish; gnocchi with roasted pumpkin. Henry Kotze form Morgenster Wines will then help Reuben to pair this dish with the perfect wine and we’ll look at wine cellar and bar design trends.

Episode 5
This week, Reuben is making a starter of beetroot salad with goats cheese and for the main dish a sherry braised chicken served with confit garlic, rosemary and fresh pasta which Ntsiki Biyela form Stellekaya Wines will help Reuben to pair with the perfect wine. Design trends with showcase beautiful bathroom inspiration.
