Overview

Three property experts travel the country, judging three stunning homes in each episode, sending one into a final. Here, they choose one to be ‘Scotland’s Home of the Year’.

In this new series, 3 property experts search the country on the hunt for Scotland’s Home of the Year. They are architect and university teacher, Michael Angus, renowned Glasgow-based interior designer, Anna Campbell-Jones, and globally recognised lifestyle blogger, Kate Spiers.

12-18 April: Episode 3

WEST

In the West of Scotland, the judges visit an elegant Edwardian villa, a flat with sliding walls and a stunning symmetrical home on the Sound of Mull. Only one can make the final.

Episode 4

SOUTH

In the South of Scotland, the judges consider a home in the trees, an extended cottage and a home whose views render them speechless. But only one can make it to the final.

Episode 5

NORTH EAST

In the North East of Scotland, 3 impressive vie for a place in the final. This time, a converted bothy, a Hollywood makeover and creative taxidermy are all under consideration.

Episode 6

EAST

In the East of Scotland 3 striking compete for a place in the final. The judges consider a farmhouse, a revamped bungalow and a stunningly designed wheelchair accessible home.

Episode 7

ISLANDS

On the Islands, the judges see a stunning upside down house, a home fusing Scotland & America and one with views so striking they almost miss the house. Only one can be a finalist

Episode 8

In the search for Scotland’s Home of the Year our judges; architect and university teacher, Michael Angus, renowned Glasgow-based interior designer, Anna Campbell-Jones, and globally recognised lifestyle blogger, Kate Spiers have travelled the length and breadth of the country and visited 21 exceptional homes, considering everything from a flat to a castle.  The final brings us to the beautiful House For an Art Lover in Glasgow where the judges celebrate the finalists from each of the 7 regions. It will be the first time they are meeting and their first chance to see who they’re up against in the competition. In the deliberation room the judges will consider each home in turn before whittling them down to their top 3- and finally selecting which of them is Scotland’s Home of the Year.  Only one of the finalists can go home with the trophy.
