Overview

Reno, Set, Go! is the battle cry for a ‘clandestine operation’ that sees friends and family come together to pull off a covert room makeover for a deserving loved one, all while they toil away at their daily nine to five. It’s undercover renovations for unsuspecting recipients. Hosts Cheryl Torreneuva and Roger Morin spearhead a stealthy plan that requires conspirators to deceive and distract loved ones from finding out what’s going on. From start to finish it’s a family affair. All hands are on deck as everyone works together to plan, shop and execute an epic custom room renovation under impossible timelines.

26 July – 01 Aug: Episode 6

All work no play

Richard & Helen, are loving parents to two young special needs kids. This two-income family was quickly reduced to one-income when Helen had to quit her job to take care of the kids. For years Richard has wanted to reno his ‘hazard zone’ of a basement into a family friendly space, but financially, it just hasn’t been possible. Helen wants to surprise Richard with a complete remodel of the basement thanking him for being such a great Dad, and alleviating any of the stress and guilt he may feel about not getting it done sooner.

Episode 7 – Insta Family

After adopting 7-year-old daughter Eryka last year, Cort and Nicole were delighted to find out they were pregnant. But when baby Jack made an appearance 4 months early, they were caught off guard and unprepared. Nicole had to quit her job and now spends 12-14 hours a day in the neonatal intensive care unit with the baby. Cort wants to take the weight off Nicole’s shoulders by surprising her with a custom designed nursery room, for her and Jack.

Episode 8 – Double Trouble

While hubby David underwent Cancer treatments, Stephanie was his rock, cheerleader and nurse maid, all while keeping a roof over their heads and looking after infant twins. But now the one-year-old twins have taken over the living and dining room and there’s no place left for either living or dining. David wants to surprise his ‘superhero’ wife with a new functional living & dining room where the entire family can celebrate the future and make memories that will last a lifetime.

Episode 9 – Gone to the Dogs

Animal advocate Melissa has been rescuing dogs long before she met Stan. When pet-less Stan fell in love with her, he knew that animal rescues were part of the package. Not only did he embrace it, but he opened his heart and home for their ‘fur babies’. As much as Stan loves his foster pets, sleeping with 4 dogs, 2 cats and a toddler in the master bedroom doesn’t make for a good night’s sleep. Melissa wants to show Stan her appreciation for not only embracing her passion, but for being the perfect partner and Dad.

Episode 10 – Fathers Day

Robert is a loving and dedicated single Dad whose life revolves around his ‘tween’ daughters. Since his divorce, he has scrimped and saved to provide them with a comfortable life, often at the expense of his own. His daughters want to show their appreciation by calling on friends and family to help create the ultimate basement rec room, where they can all chill and relax together.

Episode 11 – Food for Thought

Sunita’s passion for cooking was an expression of her love for family and friends, but when the loss of her unborn child sent her into a dark emotional tailspin, the family dinners stopped. Today Sunita is much better, but her dysfunctional kitchen bears memories of difficult times.

Episode 12 – Safety First

When JV and Sara’s toddler tripped over some toys in their living room and broke her collarbone, JV a fire-fighter was ready to toss all the toys curbside. Their living room had become a disorganized hazard, and he was having no part of it. Sara his wife want to show her appreciation for her hardworking selfless husband, and renovate their dysfunctional living space into a safe family zone where they ca all chill together as a family.

Episode 13 – Daddy & Me

Luis is a hardworking HVAC technician who shares a very special bond with his 4-year-old daughter. Because of his daughter’s speech disorder, Luis works extra shifts to afford her weekly therapy lessons. His little down time is spent working with Eva in their current makeshift play space. Wife Robin is grateful for all Luis’ hard work and would love to give him a special ‘Daddy & Me room’ where the entire family can relax and focus on Eva’s continued progress.

Episode 14 – Fresh Start

After losing her husband and father of her three young children to a car accident, Ashley took life by the horns and ‘stepped up’ big time. With no life insurance, keeping a roof over their heads was tough. She relocated to be closer to family – got a part time job and scraped together enough money to buy a ‘starter home. Unfortunately, her dysfunctional living & dining room is not working for her three active toddlers. Ashley’s sisters want to surprise her with a complete remodel to express their love and admiration for the strongest person they know.
