Requirements
- Tissue box wooden blank
- Glitter mosaic tiles for daisies
- Various green glass mosaic tiles
- Millefiori
- Ceramic leaf and butterfly inserts
- Wood glue
- Dark grey grout
- Mosaic tile cutters and/or nippers
Instructions
- Step 1: MIXING GLUE
- Mix two table spoons wood glue with one teaspoon of water and enough dark grey grout to make a smooth paste.
- Use this paste thickly to glue all the mosaic tiles and inserts to the box so that it squeezes out around each tile. This way the mosaic is grouted as you stick.
- Step 2: MOSAIC DAISIES
- Using millefiori as the daisy centers cut petals from the mosaic glitter tiles.
- Position the daisies on the tissue box so that they are pleasantly distributed around the box and glue them down.
- Step 3: LEAVES AND BACKGROUND
- Plan each side of the box individually.
- Distribute the ceramic leaves around the box.
- Draw in the design of the mosaic leaves onto the box.
- Draw in the position of the millefiori in the spaces between the leaves.
- Cut the mosaic tiles carefully into the leaf shapes and stick.
- Fix the millefiori as you go
- Step 3: HAVE FUN AND ENJOY!
