Their outstanding architecture is changing the skyline of Melbourne and has achieved the ultimate accolade; winning the prestigious World Architecture Festival Awards in Barcelona for best residential house in the world.
This dynamic, down-to-earth, married couple is one of the leading lights in the architectural movement in Australia. We aim to discover what drives them and inspires them in their uncompromising passion for good design? Their buildings are considered ‘works of art ‘ and, at times, attract controversy from traditionalists in the community.
This documentary follows the day-to-day lives of this stellar design team over a period of one year. Whilst examining the intricacies of their working relationship and the inspiration behind their iconic and controversial works, we also observe the design process unfolding in the construction of their own family home.
There’s pressure in the practice too. Rob and Debbie are also part of one of the final three consortium selected to design the prestigious new billion-dollar Comprehensive Cancer Care Centre in Melbourne; which will be the largest in the Southern Hemisphere.
