Ingredients
- 2 litres good quality vanilla ice cream
- 150g halva (reserve a tablespoon for the garnish)
- 80g crushed pistachio nuts(reserve a tablespoon for the garnish)
- 2 tablespoons honey
Method
- Line a loaf tin with plastic wrap (gladwrap) and let the sides hang over.
- Put the softened ice cream in a bowl and add the halva and pistachio nuts, mixing until properly combined. Put neatly into the loaf tin and give it a shake so that it settles evenly in the tin.
- Place the tin in the freezer, ensuring it is level so that it doesn’t set angled, for about an hour or until the ice cream has completely frozen.
- To serve, allow the ice cream to soften slightly and turn onto a platter.
- Crumble some halva and pistachio nuts onto the top of the loaf and lastly drizzle the honey over the loaf allowing it to cascade down for gorgeous effect.
