Step 1:

[2]
Measure and cut your wood for your frame.

2 pieces 1610 (top & bottom)

2 pieces 1170 (sides)

Step 2:

[3]
Mark on the wood where you want the pilot holes to go, making sure they’re not too close to the edge of the wood. Drill pilot holes for screws. (8mm drill bit  halfway through, 4mm drill bit for the rest of the way). Put 2 screws on each piece to prevent movement.

Join the top piece and one side, then join the bottom piece and the other side,  and then join the two resulting L shaped pieces together. Fill the holes where your screws went in with 8mm dowel.

Step 3:

[4]
Sand the frame. 80 grit sandpaper for the first round, 120 grit  and paper for the second.

Step 4:

[5]
Clamp the frame to your worktable and router a groove on the inside edge so your back-board can fit in, make the groove the same depth as the backboard so it fits flush.

Step 5:

[6]
Hold the backboard in place by screwing 3 pieces of 20mm thick pine horizontally onto the back of the frame, one at the top, one in the middle and one at the bottom. Remember to drill pilot holes before putting in the screws.

Step 6:

[7]
Attach to the wall by drilling holes through each corner of the frame, drill corresponding holes into the wall using Masonite bit. Hold in place using large nail-in anchors.

Step 7:

Insert your tool holders and your wall-mounted tool rack is done.
