Overview

‘Garden E.R’ throws-out the stuffy old standards of gardening programmes such as ‘Gardeners World’ by offering viewers a new, accessible and stylish take on the TV gardening genre. Aimed at both gardeners and non-gardeners alike, this weekly half-hour magazine show is pre-recorded ‘as live’ from the fabulous Garden E.R.outdoor set – where everything is designed around fun and relaxation. Above all, Garden E.R. celebrates the garden and the fun we can all have in it, the series is led by TV presenter and garden designer David Domoney, assisted by new talent Bonnie Davies.

Episode 1

Garden E.R. also takes it upon itself to invade the personal retreats of a few celebrities. TV presenter Jeff Brazier – also known as father to the late TV reality star Jade Goody’s two sons – sets David the task of injecting some much needed flower power in mum Jan’s garden, as a reward for turning hergarden over to his two boys as a playground.

Meanwhile, young garden designer Bonnie Davies grew up on a nursery. So, when she learns that fellow nurseryman Chris Bonnetthas been too busy to finish off his wildlife pond she feels it’s her duty to pull on her waders and give him a hand.

Episode 2

Footballer’s wife Danielle Lloyd has a designer garden that’s all structure and no plants. Young designer Bonnie Davies knows next to nothing about football, but she does know about planting, so it takes only an afternoon for her to grace Danielle’s empty borders with a delicate tapestry of living colour.

Meanwhile, is your garden shed more eyesore than amenity, lurking in a neglected corner and used for little more than storing household junk? Well, you’re in good company. This is the kind of waste that David Domoney will not tolerate and he’s taking on the challenge of ‘pimping’ some of the shambolic sheds of Britain. This time he’s transforming a dingy hovel into a snazzy darts den for love-lorn Chris Clegg from Nottingham.

Episode 3

Meanwhile Bonnie Davies sorts out a garden gaff – or two – for long-suffering Viv Pearse. Her husband’s hilarious attempts to create a barbecue and patio area have ended in failure and now a serious illness means he is unable to complete the job. But with Bonnie’s help Viv gets the entertainment area she’s always dreamt of.

And David gets an insight into the private lives of two very public figures as he takes a tour round newly-wed TV Presenters Angellica Bell and Michael Underwood’s Kingston Upon Thames garden. With their first baby on the way, they need some help to turn an unloved corner into a child-friendly play area, so David gets stuck in to show them how it can be done.

Episode 5

David Domoney is delighted to gossip with TV presenter Kate Garraway whilst helping to give her London garden the facelift it needs. With Kate’s teenage son giving it heavy wear and tear, something durable is needed under foot – so David rolls out a lawn with a difference that should survive even the heaviest tread!

Meanwhile Bonnie Davies sorts out a ‘rubbish’ gravel garden gaffe.  When Maxine Clarke asked her cousin Warren to gravel over an awkward bit of garden for her, she didn’t bargain on the blue bin-bags that protrude through the gravel!  Bonnie comes to the rescue and turns Warren’s wasteland into a gorgeous gravel garden to be proud of.

Episode 6

Meanwhile Bonnie Davies takes a look at another celebrity’s garden. Gadget Show presenter Ortis Deley may know he has precisely 17 weeds in his garden, but, apart from the lawn, there is nothing else in sight. Can Bonnie bring a little bit of colour to his boring back garden?

And David brings a touch of the souk to Twickenham as he converts an ordinary little garden shed into an exotic, tented Moroccan-style retreat!
