Dining Room Table

You will need

Tools Materials
PSR 18 Drill driver (new)   Top 18mm ply wood 1200mm x 1200mm – 1 piece 
PST 18 Jig Saw Pine 20mm (Planed all round) NB must be straight and not be warped.
PSR 10.8 New   Top – 1200 x 200mm – 2 pieces
Router Top – 800 x 200mm – 4 pieces (I will cut 1 piece to 300 x 200 mm x 2 pieces)
Glue gun (NB make sure you have 7mm glue sticks) Legs – 120mm x 740mm – 8 pieces
  Legs – 90mm x 740mm – 8 pieces
  Base 160 x 160mm – 4 pieces
  Skirt – 860 mm x 100mm – 4 pieces
  20 x 20mm cleats 
  wall paper squares 300 x 300 for décor inside the glass squares. Any “nice” paper will work. 
glass 3-4mm. 312 x 312mm – 5 pieces  
  clear silicone – 1 tube
  wood glue
  4 x 40mm screws
  contact adhesive – 1 big tube
  Water based varnish – dark oak or similar colour
   

Steps

  1. Legs

– join four sides to make a “thicker” type leg

– fill holes and let dry

– sand once dry

– fit feet/bases to bottom of the legs (rout before fitting)

  1. Table
  • Rout insert slats
  • Mark off on ply wood slab where slats fit and drill pilot holes
  • Mark off where skirt and legs fit underneath
  • Attach skirt and legs
  • Attach insert slats to slab
  • Sand and varnish
  1. Glue wall paper into the squares on the table
  2. Spray pattern onto glass
  3. Glue glass and seal into table top
