If Its Broke Fix It

Two teams of DIY novices are sent off to builders ‘bootcamp’ where they are put through their paces, knocked into shape, and taught all the tricks of the builders trade in this inspirational new series. They then return to their own homes where a big DIY task awaits them.
The teams each have two days to complete their home improvement challenge before Craig turns up to judge their handywork and see if they have remembered everything they were taught before announcing the winner.
Episode 1 – Laura and Charli versus Heather and Tom
Two teams of DIY novices are sent off to builders ‘bootcamp’ where they are taught to tackle major jobs around their homes. Today two girl friends who have let their bathroom go take on a mother and son who want to create built- in storage space in an all out battle on the home improvement front. TV handyman Craig Phillips oversees the competition.
Episode 2 – James and Maureen versus David and Emma
A brother and sister who want to plaster their sitting room take on a father and daughter who want to install a kitchen window. The two teams are sent to builder’s bootcamp where they learn all the tricks of the trade before being let loose on their own homes. TV handyman Craig Phillips is on hand to guide these DIY novices through the minefield of potential domestic disasters and to judge the final results.
Episode 3 – Michelle and Nial versus Stuart and Suzanna
Two couples from Cardiff battle it out on the DIY front. Michelle and Nial want to put in new radiators, Stuart and Susanna want to put in a new doorway – none of them have a clue how to go about doing it. Cue TV handyman Craig Phillips who whisks these DIY shy couples off to his builders bootcamp to teach them the skills they need to take on their tasks at home, then it’s a head to head competition to see who can do the best job.
Episode 4 – Liz and John versus Carlos and Marianna
Liz and John want to install a shower, Carlos and Marianna want to put decking in their garden, but none of them have the foggiest idea how to go about it. After being sent to builders ‘bootcamp’ where they learn the tricks of the trade the two teams compete to see who can do the best job at home. TV handyman Craig Phillips oversees their progress.
Episode 5 – Wendy and Julie versus Irena and Al
Two teams of DIY novices are sent off to builders ‘bootcamp’ where they are taught to tackle their home improvement nightmares. In this episode two ladies whose entrance hall is in a shameful state take on a couple who want to convert their loft in a competition to see who can do the best job. TV handyman Craig Phillips presides over their efforts.
Episode 6 – Nathan and Enola versus Nathan and Mike
Two rival teams of DIY novices are sent off to Craig Phillips’ builder’s bootcamp where they are taught how to take on some major home improvement projects. Today it’s rebuilding a shower cubicle versus constructing a matching pair of built in cabinets. The teams are up against the clock, will they complete their challenges? And what will the standard of the workmanship be like?
Episode 7 – Xanthe and John versus Paul and Alex
Two teams of DIY novices battle it out for home improvement glory. Today a couple whose home is in dire need of underfloor insulation take on two mates whose bathroom is a no go area. After a spell at builders bootcamp learning all the tricks of the trade – the teams are let loose on their own homes. Will they succeed? Or will it be a domestic disaster? TV handyman Craig Phillips oversees the proceedings.
Episode 8 – Fran and Helen versus Graham and Simon
Two rival teams are sent off to builder’s bootcamp, where they are transformed from DIY dunces into home improvement heroes. They then return home to take on their worst DIY nightmares in a competition that will test all their newly acquired skills. Will they succeed or will their efforts come crumbling down around them? TV handyman Craig Phillips presides.
Episode 9 – Richie and Jerry versus Debbie and Dot
Today it’s a battle of the bathrooms, Debbie and Dot want to replace their old loo and mates Richie and Jerry want to turn their shabby shower into a boutique wet room. Problem is, none of them have a clue how to go about it. Can TV handyman Craig Phillips turns these two teams of do it yourself dunces into home improvement heroes? And will a spell in builder’s bootcamp put them on the path to DIY glory?
Episode 10 – Claire and Gavin versus Stephen and Neil
It’s plastering versus tiling in today’s battle of the home improvers. Claire and Gavin want to kick start a bathroom renovation job that’s ground to a halt and Stephen and Neil started a bedroom project they have no idea how to finish. Will TV handyman Craig Phillips be able to save the day by bringing the two teams to his builder’s bootcamp and teaching them all the tricks of the trade? Will these DIY novices be able to finish their tasks at home in time to win today’s competition?
