Follow these steps
Building
- Draw out and mark off where legs join on each corner x 4
- Cut out shape in leg bottoms
- Assemble four legs
- Mark out and assemble top and bottom frames
- Attach base to bottom frame
- Router edges
- Attach legs to frames
- Attach frame to the top
- Attach support slats underneath
- Router edges
- Sand all pieces including inserts
Staining
- Take tea mixture and stain all the pieces except the inserts
- Spray with clear varnish.
Upholstery (the material is the same for the sides and the seat)
- Glue material to the inserts (once dry trim material to size)
- Attach inserts into the trunk.
- Glue the sponge to the seat insert
- Pull Dacron over the sponge
- Pull material over the Dacron
- Pull material firmly over the seat and fasten underneath
- Trim excess material
- Glue seat onto the lid
