She shows us how to make a contemporary streampunk greeting card and a stunning chopping board décor piece that will complement any kitchen. She will teach us various techniques such as inking, embossing, dry brushing, layering and so much more.

Instructions

  • Step 1: Silhouette Cameo
    • Cut a step card from brown cardstock.
    • Cut internal offsets from sheet 005 to fit the step card. Ink the edges with Gathered Twigs. Add the stickers (dragonflies) ST001
  • Step 2: Tim Holtz
    • Gadget Gears and Mini Gear Movers & Shapers & Weathered Clock DIE
    • Cut 2 gears from the Bigz DIE and 2 gears from the Mini DIE. Emboss the 2 big gears and one    small gear with vintage photo.
    • Paint the other small gear and weathered clock with black gesso and spray with tea stain. Leave to dry.
    • Cut a large circle and emboss with the gear embossing folder. Ink with Vintage Photo and Black Soot.
  • Step 3:
    • Stamp the “Looking Glasses” stamp onto white cardstock and cover with tea dye. Place in the centre of the weathered clock.
  • Step 4:
    • Punch the “Just for You” phrase with a circle punch, ink the edges with Gathered Twigs and matt with black cardstock. Arrange the rest of the embellishments as per the picture and glue! Your card is now complete.

 

Chopping Board – Food for Thought

Requirements

  • FabScraps Country Kitchen Collection paper range: C76 003 & C75 008
  • Beige and Brown Acrylic Paint
  • Chipboard Pieces: DC76 006 & DC76 013
  • Foam Squares
  • Sticker ST76 001
  • Silhouette Cameo
  • Black & Beige Cardstock, Chipboard and Cork
  • Tim Holtz Apothecary Bottles DIE
  • Wooden Chopping Board and Rolling Pin
  • Tim Holtz Distress Ink Gathered Twigs, Mustard Seed and Fired Brick

Instructions

  • Step 1: Silhouette Cameo
    • Cut a silhouette of a lady carrying a pie from black cardstock and the internal offset from sheet 008 (only the dress and shoes) and ink the edges with Gathered Twigs.
  • Step 2:
    • Cut sheet 003 to fit the wooden chopping board and ink the edges with Gathered Twigs and glue it in place.
  • Step 3:
    • Cut one apothecary bottle from the Tim Holtz Die from chipboard and the lid from cork.  Ink the bottle with Fired Brick and Mustard Seed. Matt the sticker (Happiness is Homemade) onto beige cardstock. Glue it to the bottle with foam squares as per the picture
  • Step 4:
    • Ink chipboard piece 006 with Fired Brick and Mustard Seed.
  • Step 5:
    • Paint the rolling pin and chipboard piece 013 with beige paint and dry brush with brown paint.  Add sticker (SAVOUR) from sticker ST001 once dry.
  • Step 6:
    • Arrange the rest of the embellishments as per the picture and glue them down. And you’re done, you can now hang your piece on a wall.
