Local food hero Reuben Riffel is back on The Home Channel! He’s delving into the world of fine food and design in an all new season of Signature Living.

 

Once again he’ll be cooking up a storm with an amazing array of dishes and pairing them with some of the best wines, whiskeys and artisanal beers on the market to take the menu to a whole new level. Along the way we’ll also hear from the experts to find out what’s hot in the world of décor & design.

RECIPES

Episode 1

Reuben makes a French Classic, Coq au Vin, served with mashed potatoes and steamed broccoli stems.  We’ll take a look at the dos and don’ts of kitchen makeovers.  Our guest educates us on using the right stemware when it comes to glassware for specific varietals. And then there is the competition, one lucky viewer will win more than R 200 000 worth of prizes.

Episode 2

Reuben makes a fragrant Goan fish Curry served with steamed rice.  We’ll take a look at the dos and don’ts of kitchen makeovers. Reuben will then pair his dish with a few delicious craft beers. 

Episode 3

Reuben makes a classic Creamy Risotto with Prawns. We’ll take a look at the dos and don’ts of kitchen makeovers.  Reuben will be chatting to his guest about what wine will best suit the meal. And then there is the competition where one lucky viewer will win more than R 200 000’s worth of prizes.

Episode 4

Reuben makes Beef Cheeks ala mexico served with a smokey red salsa. We’ll take a look at the dos and don’ts of kitchen makeovers and Reuben will chat to our guest about the perfect wine to compliment his dishes.

Episode 5

Reuben makes a Boeber with caramelised mango served with a Tuile Biscuit. We’ll take a look at the dos and don’ts when it comes to wood decking and cladding and finally, Reuben will be pairing his dish with the perfect wines.

Episode 6

Reuben makes a delicious Bouillabaisse served with rouille. Roof windows will be the focus in our makeover and design trends. Reuben will then pair his dish with Delaire Graff Estate wines.

Episode 7

Reuben makes a delicious Cheesecake Ice cream served with poached apricots. Tiles will be the focus in our makeover and design trends. Reuben will then pair his dish with Graham Beck wines.

Episode 8

Reuben makes a delicious Braised chicken and peaches served with lemon rice. Decorative Wall renders will be the focus in our makeover and design trends. Reuben will then pair his dish with Creation wines.

Reuben makes a delicious Braised duck served with a warm salad. And then we will show you an actual bathroom makeover. Reuben will then pair his dish with Bosman Family vineyard wines.
