Show Synopsis

In THE MANSION, eight supercharged amateur home remodelers will move into a dilapidated mansion. They'll have seven weeks to completely re-do the whole place - knowing that, in the end, only one of them will walk away with the keys. But this isn't just a home-makeover show. In a weekly election ceremony one of the eight will be elected to the role of Foreman. The Foreman is responsible for all decisions, from design to construction, and will have to delegate and critique the labor of the other contestants. At the end of the week, a separate judging panel will come in and evaluate the team's work. Based on the score the judging panel awards, the Foreman will be handed a cash prize, the Payday. The Foreman will then hand out the paychecks to the team as he/she sees fit. At the end of the seven weeks, the home audience will vote because only one can be awarded ownership to THE MANSION.

The Mansion
21 - 25 December IT’S JUST KIM
The group is given $35,000 and 5 days to complete the Mansion’s west wing – the four bedrooms and a shared bath that will become the casts’ dormitory. When they are asked who would be the worst person to be Foreman they chose Kim, a grandmother from Indiana. In the series first twist, Kim is then named Foreman by host Mark Walberg. Kim’s indecisiveness severely hampers the project especially when hotheaded Amanda constantly challenges her. To make matters worse, series host Mark takes away two team members on an ill-fated trek to gamble on a riverboat for a higher payday for the group.
28 December - 01 January SWIMMING WITH SHARKS
Strong spoken New Yorker Amanda is elected Foreman and her team has $10,000 and 24 hours to renovate the Mansion pool area. Amanda’s loud, bossy and controlling style quickly alienates most of her crew. Host Mark shows up and ask crewmember Jeff to disappear for 12 hours and not explain to the group where he was. If he takes the heat until Hammers Down he will win himself and his team members an extra $1,000 each. Jeff succeeds but not without a fierce and nasty out-and-out fight with a pissed-off Amanda.
04 - 08 January CREDIT DUE
Good-natured frat guy Elvis is elected Foreman and has $20,000 and 5 days to renovate the master bedroom, bathroom, walk-in closet and sunroom. He quickly clashes with the dramatic designer of the group, Dan, who emotionally complains he is doing all the work and getting no credit. In the episode twist, Elvis is asked to choose which two of his team members gets to go to a spa; which two have to go through a dump looking for ‘art’, and which four have to stay in the Mansion and work.
11 - 15 January LOVE BLOOMS IN THE FORMAL GARDEN
The group is divided into two teams lead by Elvis and Mansion-heartthrob Andy. Elvis’ Time Team has $5,000 and 3 days to transform half the front yard into a formal garden and Andy’s Money Team has $10,000 and 2 days to complete their half. The budding relationship between Andy and blonde sexy Sandi is quickly derailed when host Mark forces each Foreman to trade a team member and Andy makes the romantic blunder of trading away his new girlfriend.
18 - 22 January TEMPERS BOIL IN THE KITCHEN
Sandi is the Foreman for the biggest renovation project yet—she has 7 days and $90,000 to restore the dilapidated kitchen. Her roller coaster romance with jealous Andy comes to a screeching halt when she plans a girl’s night out without him. In retaliation, Andy goes on strike and convinces his buddies Jeff and Elvis to follow suit. Tensions build to a climax when our host Mark asks Sandi to choose which four teammates get to fly on a private jet to New York City for a four-star dinner and she leaves the striking guys behind.
25 - 29 January D.O.A.
Indecisive, lazy Jeff gets elected (by only a one-vote majority) and is assigned the construction of a grand foyer for the Mansion in 3 days time with a $10,000 budget. Puppet master Andy, who is determined to see him fail and look bad to the voting viewers, puts Jeff’s weak leadership to the test. When Andy wins all of Jeff’s budget underages in a paintball duel, the already shaky renovation plummets downhill and is pronounced DOA by the judges.
01 - 05 February THE BIGSCREEN BATTLE
Brassy, Brooklyn girl Michele is elected Foreman for the final project and has 3 days and $45,000 to completely renovate the downstairs area of the Mansion. The gloves are off as the team amps up the competition for the viewer’s vote. Conflict comes to a head when Jeff and Elvis try to sabotage Michele by blowing the entire budget on a big screen TV and a major battle ensues. In the end, Michele manages to guide the team to their most successful payday yet. Host Mark gives one final twist to the group’s emotions by offering them $20,000 to leave the Mansion and give up their dream of winning.
