Expert appraiser Tim Luke and Christine Downing let homeowners know the hidden value of their finds. If the family can part with the newfound assets, the items are sold at auction and the newfound money funds a home project or purchase.
Cash in the Attic - Episode Guide
04 - 08 January The Todd-Beatty’s want to transform their basement into a brand new bedroom for teenage son Alex, but don’t have the cash to make it happen. Host John Sencio and Appraiser Tim Luke help them search through all the antiques and collectibles in their home looking for suitable items to sell at auction so they can raise the money they need. Husband ‘Bear’ is the collector in this household and is reluctant to get rid of some things, while wife Patti and son Alex are tired of his collections clogging up the house and can’t wait to see it all go out the door. Will Bear’s resistance stop them from raising enough cash for Alex’s dream bedroom?
11 - 15 January The DiRita family have a home filled with stuff partly because they inherited items from Sherry’s family’s estate, and partly because her husband Robert is a self-professed auction-junkie. They would love to reorganize their closets from top to bottom but don’t have the available spare cash. Guided by host John Sencio and appraiser Tim Luke, the couple searches through all the antiques and collectibles in their home to sell at auction. Husband Robert prides himself on having a keen eye and has collected many things over the years. Wife Sherry does find the house much too cluttered – and would like it all out
18 - 22 January The Quirin family want to treat themselves to a new hot tub for some much needed relaxation, but they don’t have the cash to see it happen. Host John Sencio and Appraiser Christine Downing help them search through all the antiques and collectibles in their home looking for suitable items to sell at auction. Most of the items have been passed down to husband Mo, who loves to hoard and finds it difficult to see things leave the house. Wife Laura and daughter Jennifer feel like its time for a clear-out and are more than happy to fill up the Cash in the Attic van with their items.
25 - 29 January The Angelo and Barbara Labruzzo have a home filled with collectibles and antiques some of which they inherited the rest they have been collected over the years. They would love to replace their 25-year old sofa and loveseat but don’t have the available spare cash. Guided by host John Sencio and appraiser Tim Luke, the couple searches through all the antiques and collectibles in their home to sell at auction. Most of the stuff we find belongs to Barbara and she has a very hard time letting any of it go
01 - 05 February The Henrys need to raise money to convert their basement from a dark, dusty storage area to a hip hangout for their two teenage sons. Mr. Henry has been collecting items for years and the house is stocked full of those and other items handed down from relatives of the family. In order to reach their goal of 3,000 dollars for the basement renovations, the Henrys have asked Cash in the Attic to come by and help them out!
08 - 12 February The Howell family desperately need a new bathroom but don’t have the spare cash available. Host John Sencio and Appraiser Tim Luke help them search through all the antiques and collectibles in their home looking for suitable items to sell at auction. Wife Wendy is the collector in this household. She inherited most of the items they’ll be auctioning off from her grandmother’s antique shop. Wendy is reluctant to get rid of some things, while husband Alfred and son William are excited to wave goodbye to what they think is junk. Will Wendy’s resistance stop them from raising enough cash for their dream bathroom?
15 - 19 February John and Michelle Lenane need to raise 2200 dollars for a new bathroom. Their bathroom was finished in 1916 and desperately needs an update. Over the last 25 years, the Lenanes made a habit of collecting items from auctions and flee markets. Now the house is, as John puts it “filled to the gills” and the couple wants to sell some of their items to raise money for their much needed renovation.
22 - 26 February Jacques and Marie Weiss want to update their living room to make it a cozier space for the whole family. Host John Sencio and appraiser Christine Downing help them choose furniture and other items around the home to sell at auction to pay for the refurbishment they have wanted for a long time. With young children at home, their modern collectibles are being damaged and they decide that it’s time to sell at auction. Jacques has absolutely no ties to any of their items, while Marie has some family heirlooms that she’s attached to. How well will contemporary items do at auction?
01 - 05 March The Mangs family desperately need a new computer but don’t have the spare cash available. Host John Sencio and Appraiser Tim Luke help them search through all the antiques and collectibles in their home looking for suitable items to sell at auction. Husband Tim is the collector in this household and is reluctant to get rid of some things, while wife Kim and their 3 sons, Dillon, Tyler and Max are excited to wave goodbye to what they think is junk. Will Tim’s resistance stop them from raising enough cash for their new computer?
08 - 12 March The Gaughans want to build a new patio in their backyard but they have the funds to make it happen. Over the time they’ve lived in their home, Mr. Gaughan has made a habit of collecting items that his friends and family were ready to throw away. Though most or all of the items he’s found were free, the amount of space they take up in the Gaughan household has prompted the family to ask Cash in the Attic to help sell their stuff!
