09 - 13 November Mother Nature's Art Store is a must stop shop! It's open 24/7, the price is always right and the selection is ever changing. We head straight to the woods for this show, where nature meets a little creative imagination for original, one of a kind creations out of driftwood and branches! We take a unique look at how to go about "sticking" garden art in our yards and gardens with a colorful perspective on how to jazz up those fallen beauties. Throw in a few other creative ideas with twigs and branches and this is one show worth "sticking" around for! Host Michele Beschen heads to the woods for this show where nature meets creative imagination for original projects made from driftwood and branches.
16 - 20 November The washer comes out from behind and shines brightly in many, creative ways. Everything from flat and fender to lock...that's right, the HARDWARE kind. We're linking them together to create one of a kind jewelry ensembles that virtually anyone at home can do. We've created everything from bracelets and earrings to pendants and rings. The washer is also well rounded and very versatile when it comes to home decor. See how you can use them to create wall art, candleholders, vases and tiles. A few bags of washers and you too can try them all! Host Michele Beschen demonstrates how to take washers (not washing machines but the hardware) and link them together to create unique jewelry.
23 - 27 November Waste not, Want not...before tossing your trash to the curb, take a second look. Busted mini blinds can be easily weaved into playful placemats, seating and chandeliers. Old light globes are all you need to create stylish pendant lighting and candleholders. Scratching your head on what to do with that scrap pile of wood in the corner? We'll inspire you to take that pile and create the building blocks to a stylish lamp base. Host Michele Beschen demonstrates the power of the saying "waste not, want not" by converting leftovers into treasures.
30 November - 04 December Look no further than your driveway for all the supplies you'll need for this show. We're creating with rocks! They come in a variety of shapes, sizes and colors and we'll show you how to turn them into memorable gifts, decorative accessories, jewelry and more! Learn how to don your walls indoors and out with a collection of rock mirrors that are easy to create and an inexpensive way to reflect on your creative side. You can create a very thoughtful rock garden under glass; a whole new approach to rock gardens and collage. The "size of a woman's rock" gets a whole new meaning when we share how to create rock jewelry that is sure to get you noticed. Rock on folks! Host Michele Beschen takes various shaped, sized and colored rocks to create original gifts, decorative accessories, jewelry and more.
07 - 11 December This show is definitely for the birds...everything from building to renovating; contemporary, traditional, eclectic and pre-fab! Learn how to build some unique dwellings that will have all the birds singing, starting with a unit built entirely out of copper pipe to mimic a more urban log cabin look. We're also creating a glass house and another totally tubular structure out of PVC pipe that will stand proud in our newly developed housing community. We're creating a housing community every feathered friend wants to live in. Host Michele Beschen creates a housing community that every feathered friend will want to live in--everything from contemporary to traditional and from eclectic and prefab birdhouses.
14 - 18 December The fun-n-games continues with do it yourself game ideas. We're creating games that are so cool to look at you can't help but take a turn at playing...even if you don't like the game! To start things off, it's all about the little ones; a closet rod, some golf balls and a little ingenuity and you have everything you need to create a colorful pint-sized croquet set that will get a lot of playtime. We take the "TV" out of TV trays and convert them into exciting game tables like Chinese checkers and Cribbage. You can just pull up a tray and play! We'll also pull out the tiles and create tabletop games with found objects and automotive tape. Let the games begin! Host Michele Beschen creates games that are so cool to look at that you can't help but take a turn at playing.
21 - 25 December B. Original with outdoor structures you can create yourself! Learn how to make your natural surroundings work for you and clever project ideas to make accessorizing and furnishing the great outdoors enjoyable "year round". Our first outdoor space shows people how to take advantage of their natural surroundings. With a little imagination one can add windows to trees; headboards become fireplaces and outdoor decor takes on a whole new life. We?ll also show people how they can take some palette boxes and patio umbrellas and turn them into their own unique setting. And then, dust off that tent...we're turning it into a retreat-like cottage. See what a peaceful shanty it can become! Host Michele Beschen creates some clever projects that make accessorizing the great outdoors enjoyable year round.
28 December - 01 January We dig right in and get creative with planters and plantings for this show. We're taking unique items and planting them up in creative ways...everything from jell-o molds to paint cans. The neglected saucer gets the full-blown treatment and finds itself standing proud in the garden as a new, glitzy toadstool! We'll mix things up and turn those discarded pots and saucers topsy-turvy to create beautiful beefy pedestals. No dirt allowed. Host Michele Beschen digs in and gets creative with planters and plantings by taking unique items and planting them up in imaginative ways.
04 - 08 January There's more than one way to grow a flower! This show opens up a whole new world of possibilities when it comes to creating flowers that are colorful, low-maintenance and bloom year round. Pluck a few plumes and you can create a show-stopping bloom entirely out of feathers...mix it with another floral beauty built out of reflectors and textiles and you'll have yourself a stunning arrangement of wallflowers. For heartier foliage, you can use aluminum window screen and wire for a steely bouquet we like to call "petals of steel". We'll finish with a few more petal pushing? ideas that are neatly pressed and ready to plant. Host Michele Beschen proves that there is more than one way to grow a flower with a new world of possibilities that create colorful, low-maintenance flowers that bloom year round.
11 - 15 January Fabric artist Julie McCullough shares her love for fantasy, fabric and whimsical dolls. She opens up her colorful studio to teach us how to create a one of a kind "Muse" while at the same time opening our eyes to a new way of looking at fabric. Tips and techniques everyone needs to know for creating new "material". Host Michele Beschen is joined by guest Julie McCullough, who shares her love for fantasy, fabric and whimsical dolls.
18 - 22 January This show takes on the unusual to create quirky jewelry pieces that everyone will want to be wearing. We pick up materials from the great outdoors to create rustic stick beads and gourd jewels. We also take the delicate eggshell, that's right, the eggshell..and drill right through it for a true one of a kind jewelry ensemble. We show you how to take materials like glass gems and mosaic glass pieces and string them together for a custom look that's all your own. We'll also take Xmas ornaments and home decor tassels and show you how to wear them proudly...around your neck! Host Michele Beschen creates quirky jewelry pieces that everyone will want to wear, and many of the materials are from the great outdoors, such as stick beads and gourd jewels.
25 - 29 January Unique ways to re-use old windows; a stunning "glass on glass" technique; how to build a colorful glass "sandwich" and wall art that gets noticed! We're re-working glass windows, broken and in tact. See how old windows can get new legs and become a stylish set of nesting tables. We'll also do up some wall art with old windows by using spray adhesive and sheer fabrics. We cut up our glass and square things off to create beautiful compact mirrors you can toss in your handbag. We then sweep up the broken glass and turn it into a clearly beautiful set of "star catchers" Host Michele Beschen showcases unique ways to re-use old windows with a stunning glass-on-glass technique.
01 - 05 February Today partners we're getting creative with leather. We wrangle the inspiring saddle maker Will Ghormley to invite us to his studio to share what it takes to tool leather. We then take what we learn from Will and stamp our own creative style on it. We're whipping up customized belts and buckles. We're also taking a couple of genuine leather car chamois'...cutting them up and wrapping them around our neck...that's right...they can become beautiful one of a kind scarves. You'll also enjoy seeing how a bit of leather can dress up some of those tired pieces of furniture! Host Michele Beschen gets creative with leather in this episode as she and guest Will Ghormley whip up customized belts and buckles.
