That first winter they suffered through cold feet, a terrible smell and plenty of overloaded electrical circuits. It’s time for Mike to give them a Holmes Inspection, so that Mike, Damon and the crew can get to the bottom of this kitchen addition.
Episode 3 – Abated Breath
When David and San Yee bought their house, the home inspector declared it was “above average.” It was San Yee who found something that could put the health of their small family at risk. Mike will do a Holmes Inspection, and he, Damon and the crew will do whatever it takes to Make it Right.
Episode 4 – Exhausting the Issue
Rick and Deirdre flipped when they saw this gorgeous open concept renovation with its stunning stone fireplace. Unfortunately, the home inspector did not read the signs that this house was a flip, filled with shoddy, quickly done work — but Mike Holmes did. Mike will do his own Holmes Inspection, as Damon and the crew get set for all the work it will take to Make this one Right.
Episode 5 – Go with the Flow
Cathy and Tim thought a house with two fireplaces would be very romantic. The home inspector thought everything would be okay once the fireplaces were cleaned. The house Kris and Dave bought had a finished basement, ideal for their active boys. Scott and Erin wanted to minimize their commute and maximize the backyard they would have for their lively dog Uma. Episode 25 – Plumb Unlucky
Virginia needed a small home that would be a safe haven for her and her son Luca. When she saw the beautiful trim, the updated kitchen and the big backyard in this cute one and a half storey home, she decided it was nice enough to buy without the home inspection. Now she has toilets that don’t flush, a shower that takes days to drain, some odd wiring and no heat in the so-called updated kitchen. She needs Mike to do a Holmes Inspection, and Damon and the crew to help make this house the home she and Luca were counting on.
Episode 26 – Heads up Heating
Shayne and Lorelee thought they had found a trouble free family home and fell in love with its four bedrooms, big backyard, cozy family room and even a spare bedroom in the basement. Their home inspection found only minor concerns so they went ahead and used their savings on a new kitchen. Now they have cold feet, literally, as their family room and two of their bedrooms are freezing. To make matters worse, their kitchen contractors pointed out the windows were leaking so much water, the drywall beneath was crumbling in his hands.
