The Gardener – Season 11
Everyone’s favourite gardener, Tanya Visser, returns to The Home Channel in mid September for a brand new of make-over season of The Gardener. This season, Tanya visits the Garden meander at Grand Design 2012, to look at new trends in garden design as she chats to some of the country’s top Landscapers at the show.
It’s also a season of some awesome garden makeovers, as Tanya shares practical ideas and tips to guide viewers to get the same results in their own gardens. She also finds creative ways to use cement in the garden with great DIY projects that will inspire viewers to build their own outdoor haven in their backyard.

The Gardener Projects SEASON 11
- Episode 12
Tanya tackles a patio garden that really has nothing going for it. First she uses old car tyres to create moulds for a concrete doughnut water feature that will form a focal point of the garden and then plant up with the area with topiaries and other colourful plants such as daisies to complete the patio makeover.
- Episode 11
Large trees tend to cast shade on the rest of the garden and can present you with problems in the garden. Tanya shows you how to overcome this by planting shade friendly plants as she transforms a dark shady space. First she creates an in- situ paving to form a pathway then completes the makeover by adding bright and colourful plants to light up the area.

Tanya shows you how to make good use of your available gardening space. Watch as she transforms a bare patch of soil into a stunning little herb and veggie garden by creating a neat and concise Keyhole garden that is both practical and pleasing to the eye and then she finishes it off by adding a sundial

Tanya takes on the challenge of transforming this disastrous front garden by adding some pots, unique stepping stones and a variety of low maintenance hardy plants that will cope well in the tough environment and complete this much needed makeover after all a verge garden creates the first impressions of a home

Tanya takes on a garden that really needs help. With plants planted in the wrong places, weeds everywhere and the big trees shedding their foliage. Watch as she transforms this neglected part of garden into a lovely spot where one can sit and relax.

Tanya tackles a garden bank with really bad soil and ageing steps that have become a liability rather than a point of access. She devises a brilliant plan to transform it into a space that is both practical and pleasing to the eye.
