Armed with little more than a pair of rubber gloves and some valuable household advice, they persuade the unhygienic, the messy and the downright disgusting to clean up their act.

Along the way, they reveal some horrifying facts about the bugs and microbes lurking in our homes.

“Aggie MacKenzie and Kim Woodburn have made housework more fashionable than ‘Big Brother’.”
- The Guardian, UK

Episode Guide

Episode 1
Dan Westley is a rocket man and while his hobby is explosive, his love life’s a damp squib. His toxic bachelor pad is the main problem, so his family has called in the nation’s cleaning queens to give him the rocket he really needs.

Episode 2
Radio DJ Vicky Richardson is hot on music but not even lukewarm on housework. Over the years her bedroom has disappeared under a mountain of vinyl and the mice regard her filthy kitchen as the perfect playground.

Britain’s cleaning queens Kim Woodburn and Aggie Mackenzie have to take this grime offender back to school for the basics of domestic management. It’s a steep learning curve, Vicky is introduced to the cleaning products aisle of her local supermarket and gets a master class in the essentials of proper hand washing.

Episode 3
David and Angela May’s Cornish cottage is letting down the neighbourhood. It’s been the marital home for 28 years but now the dirt, clutter and chaos is keeping them apart. It started when Angela went to stay with her sick mum and so she enjoyed living in a clean house and she couldn’t face going home! Leaving husband David behind.

He works as a builder and while he turns other people’s homes into palaces, he comes home to a scene of devastation. Both blame each other. Angela likes to shop, David doesn’t like DIY. David says Angela’s clutter leaves no room to do any DIY, Angela says if David did the DIY she would feel the need to shop to cheer-up the place.

Cleaning Queens Kim Woodburn and Aggie MacKenzie are on a mission to restore domestic harmony to this couple split apart by dirt and clutter.

Episode 4
Steve Jones happily spends hours washing, buffing and polishing – but all of that attention is lavished on his motorbike, not his Bristol home. It’s best described as a hovel – even the flies have dropped dead in disgust.

The kitchen is toxic, which is quite a problem since he loves cooking. One bedroom is a litter tray, the other a dark hole which hasn’t seen daylight in years. The dining room’s gone missing, although there is an impressive motorbike service department. This is just how Steve likes it.

But all that’s about to change as the nation’s Cleaning Queens Kim Woodburn and Aggie MacKenzie are on their way.
