There is something blissful about the Australian countryside. Just visiting it transports us to a more relaxing place and lifts us out of the hustle and bustle of our busy cities. Country House Hunters season 1, captures the essence and quality of living in the beautiful Australian bush.

The series helps couples find their perfect country house. They are looking to relocate from the city to an Australian region – some in the mountains and others to a farm, while some have a passion for the beach. Our host shows them through three houses that suit their brief, and they choose one at the end of the show. 

Their perfect home can be as individual as the buyers themselves: they may love tiny homes, architectural works of art, a mountain hideaway or even be on the hunt for their very first home. In this series, we see it all as we follow our buyers’ personal property journey.

After living in Portland for the past few years, Brian and Gina are looking to relocate to Warrnambool on Victoria’s East Coast, where Brian has started a new job.

Wendy and Gary are living in Berwick, Victoria. They are semi-retired. They are looking to buy a house in beautiful Mount Macedon, Victoria.

Episode 3

We meet Craig and Olivia. They are looking for a country home by the sea. A family home would suit them best.

Episode 4

Mark is semi-retired and Jen is now working from home. They are looking to buy in the gorgeous Langwarrin area, Victoria.

Episode 5

Steven and Irene are both retired, and looking for their dream mountain hideaway.  The couple is looking to snatch up a home among the snow gums.

We meet Davina and Sean. After travelling abroad and working as crew members on super yachts, they are ready to settle into their dream home by the sea.

After retiring and travelling the world, Nick and Julie are looking for a home in Mansfield. They are looking for a home on a large block of land, with spectacular mountain views.

We meet Dirk and Erin, who are looking for their dream home in the beautiful Mansfield, Victoria. This area offers some of the best family activities all year round.

Pat and his daughter Manesha are on the hunt for their ideal entertainer’s home in the wine region of Yarra Valley, Victoria. With a large family, a home that uses space well is essential.

Episode 10

After selling their property on the Mornington peninsula, Jane and Ronnie are looking for their perfect home in the country. Ronnie is looking for something with a little bit of character.

Episode 11

Leonie and Paul are golf enthusiasts. They are looking for a garden that is easy to maintain and which will be perfect to entertain their large group of family and friends.

We meet Martin and Antoinette. Though open-minded about the specifics of their country home, they also have a clear wish list of what their country home will need.

Episode 13

We meet business owners Carrie and Greg who are searching for their new family home in the gorgeous Dandenong Ranges. 

Episode 14

We meet dairy farmers John and Karen who have lived together on the land for 48 years.  They are looking for their new dream home on the Mornington Peninsula. 

Episode 15

Terry and Jane are looking for a change to the magnificent Macedon ranges in Victoria. They are retired and need a home that can accommodate their horses.

Episode 16

We meet Kate and Matt. They are looking for a home in the Yarra Ranges Victoria. They want a forever home with a view to hopefully hand it down to their two children.

Episode 17

We meet Max and Jane. They have lived for many years in the Dandenong Ranges, but decided to make a change and move to Phillip Island.

Episode 18

We meet best buddies Vinh and Misha. Vinh is dreaming about moving into nature and has brought along his best friend Misha to help him choose the perfect country home in Ferny Creek.

Episode 19

We meet young couple Ash and Ollie; they are on the search for their dream home in Kiama. After renovating their first home they are ready for a new home in which to raise a family.

Married couple Azriel and Elora are looking for a property with suitable acreage for horses and a home that they can modify to their own lifestyle and taste.
